on the one hand, yes i agree with you.

But on the other hand, doesnt it all go to prove Organised Religion to be a load of hogwash ? reminds me of how Christians vehemently opposed Darwin. And when they saw they couldnt win that argument, they changed tack and said that yes Darwin is compatible with Adam & Eve hogwash.

they are literally 'making it up as they go along'

As a non believer I agree it’s hog wash. Religions exist though and whilst they do I would rather they be capable of learning than assuming they already know everything.

If religion has any value it is for moral guidance and a sense of belonging.
The spiritual aspects are claptrap and some of the teachings are not suitable for the modern civilised world.

We need to move away from the nonsense talk of the after life and miracles and focus more on treating each other a little better.

This is getting worrisome. I agree with you, again.

It's only nonsense in your opinion though, remember. You're speaking a little to matter-of-fact for my liking. Those same miracles you're ridiculing have literally change people's lives for the better.

Don't engage if you don't want to. But calling something that's important to a large number of people nonsense and claptrap is not really any better than the woke left calling sensical vibes biggoted.

Having lived there for several years Incan assure you that this kind of thing would receive a very divided response. Some would love it whilst others would hate it.

The Catholic Church continues to hold a lot of power, both economically and politically, but it is in decline.

I respect a person's right to believe what ever they want, but they must respect my belief that it is a lot of superstitious, fairy tale drivel.

While I agree with your first two paragraph the huge problem is on what is replacing it. While aspects of Church teaching can be argued with the social liberals have destroyed many social metrics and get away with zero accountability as they hold the megaphone and media and educational institutions.

The Church's moral guidance has many good aspects to it which are quite frankly being torn apart by nihilistic degenerates.....who, while often being unselfconsciously socially conservative in their day to day lifestyle advocate the teaching and instruction in social liberalism and other poor choices to children and vulnerable.

Religion has been around a long time for a reason.

It has been the primary source of moral guidance for millions.
The downside is that it is largely based on fear and superstition.
The truth is sadly that many people are bad and only fear keeps them in line.
In the modern era, the internet has given a disproportionate voice to extremists of various kinds, and this causes a problem for society, commerce and government.
We need to adapt to this new reality and regain a proper perspective.
Morality does not need religion, but it does need better teachers. Currently, it seems to be in the hands of those wishing to make personal gain and those that promote fringe attitudes.

We get fed the approved teachers from the system.

And the system is both anti religion and anti conservative....and social conservativism was the default teaching of the church until it's infiltrations by progressivism.

So getting better teachers is easier to say than acheive....any candidates are massively attacked and shot down....and they hardly get defended by a right scared to stick its head up.

I've donated to Calvin Robinson since he was sacked from GBNews, for the honourable crime of sticking up for his mates. He's a religious man and I'm not....However, most of what he teaches is from the old church and is common sense that protects families and the vulnerable from the degeneracy being offered up to them by the modern culture.

I find it hard to take against that just because I know there's no afterlife judgement.

Any normal is better than the cultural slop being offered to you.

Robinson talked a lot of common sense. It's a pity he has gone.

Woke is all about people's selfish rights and the abrogation of their duties & responsibilities.

Woke consumes & destroys everything it touches.
