Just checked into an air bnb looked in the fridge half a tub of butter left and 4 nice chilled unopened beers would you crack the beer open? Not interested in the butter

I always leave anything unopened behind but chuck everything else.

Personally I would drink the beer but chuck the butter

My attitude in holiday lets is that any unopened food or drink left behind by the owner or by predecessors is fair game, but I wouldn't touch anything that's been opened. I certainly wouldn't touch any butter left behind; not having watched 'Last Tango in Paris', I wouldn't!

I have just finished a stay in Lyng Norfolk with my extended family.

Last year we stayed at a different place but the hosts were rude and uncaring on the basics e.g. the central heating in November didn't work and they didn't seem bothered.

You don't know what to expect with AirBnB especially the little things like should I take washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Sometimes the place is so basic no soap powder or stuff like that.

Well we needn't have worried the hosts this year were lovely they left us a huge welcome basket of wine, bread, tea and coffee etc. The larder was packed with the basics like salt and pepper and ketchup and cooking oil and cleaning stuff.

Anyway if anyone wants a break in Lyng in an old pub beautifully restored and with it's own friendly ghost PM me.
