Furthermore, if he is still injured, just how serious is injury? That's what I alluded to yesterday. If he's still injured and receiving treatment at Palace, then he's missing out on all pre season preparations no matter who that he ultimately signs for.

I think he's waiting for someone else to come in towards the end of the window. A bigger club,possibly Champions League, who maybe haven't been able to secure their targets, so who are now looking at what's still out there.

Incidentally all players get an extra 1 month pay after their contracts expire as long as they don't have a new deal so Palace are still paying him £130k a week. A lot of free transfers get finalised in early August so the buying club avoid paying unnecessary wages.

Would be much easier if he just came out and committed to the club. Would be more acceptable if he did not do this nonsense every season. Tired of it now. Great player for us, but past his best. Move on.
