Well I think it’s safe to say that Brighton will stay up (a grudging well done)
They still have a load of hard games coming up but today’s 3 points basically have assured them safety.
We could really do with 3 points Tomorrow to keep us above water.
I think injuries though will ultimately have cost us, and a window of poor implementation when really we needed to slash the cash (I know that’s not a great long term strategy, but you want to play in the big boy league, you have to pay big boy prices)
Expect lots of banter / grief when we go down and Brighton stay up.

Sadly - probably this

Still sucks though when your biggest rival (who have just come up) are looking good to stay in the Premier League, with a nice new stadium and training facilities to attract players (and being in a nice part of the world (Sussex) ) where we might end up in the Championship, loosing our best players at knock down prices and taking 5 years to get back .. that said, I to will always support come rain or shine, and a nice new stand to look forward to hopefully.

If we go down by 2 pts I'll be livid - the club should sue the FA, Everton, Niasse or all x 3.

That Mother dived (proven) and robbed us of 2 x valuable points. Thats not taking into account the Benteke Missed Pen, the Missed Pen against Man C, the Lee back pass/assist, the PVA back pass/assist the Speroni howler...

Jeez, I started listing these from memory and didn't realise there were so many gifted points..

I understand they have a state-of the art training complex which is in Lancing and they have a 'Category One' academy as opposed to our 'Category Two'.They also have a modern stadium and the team looks well set to survive.Sad to admit that in a number of areas we are lagging behind them.

This will be wrong the fault would lie that after our catastrophic first 7 games - we had no points and no goals and a goal difference of -17..!!

Off the back of that unlike everyone else we have had a 31 game season to pull it around and save ourselves - not to mention an unprecedented run of injuries.

Given that and where we were we have done brilliantly to even give ourselves a sniff of staying up..!!

We do this which I think we will - IMO Roy should have a stand in the redeveloped ground named after him..!!

Your comments are correct and while they are almost assured Premiership football next season, for a variety of reasons ranging from significant injuries to SP poor decision making with regard to the many weeks he took to appoint the WRONG manager and his unforgivable, utterly hopeless last transfer window,we could pay the price and go down.

The 7 games we have left that are against the so called lesser sides we must not lose one of them. 3 wins and 4 draws will give us 40 pts and hopefully safety. We have had an unbeaten run before and we can do it again

That said, let's actually stay within the confines of the subject matter and not veer into Anti-Willo territory which only serves to de-rail this thread.

I believe I have provided sound, valid and cogent arguments as to why I believe we will be relegated.Let's go down this route rather than turn this into yet another tedious and unwanted Willo thread.Thank You.

Well said willo. Don't know why loads on here give you such a hard time for expressing your opinion. I am still hopeful that we can stay up but we will prob be in the relegation zone for the next few games.

God, it makes me so angry....I am gonna find a little bloke... I'm gonna have a fight!

These are all good points. Im not an FDB hater, I just think we hired him before our time. Maybe many years before our time, but I do have aspirations for the club (maybe above and beyond reality at times). However, I fear that If we do go down, our fair weather fans will depart. The stadium plans may get put on hold, the American investors may look twice at owning a championship side, we'll sell off our talent and take years to come back. I do think SP has ridden his luck too many times over the last few years and simply hasn't invested enough or rather, wisely enough.

We cannot compete in a league where defenders are being bought and sold for £75million and strikers for £142million.
