DARCY BLAKE has only been at Crystal Palace a few weeks but he reckons the team can reach the play-offs.
BLAKE, 23, showed his adaptability by moving from right-back to the centre after Peter Ramage was injured in the 3-2 win over his old side Cardiff on Saturday.
And he thinks the Eagles have the firepower to mount a promotion push after seeing their fightback from 2-0 down to secure maximum points.
He said: "I don't see why we shouldn't be looking towards the play-offs, especially if the defenders keep clean sheets at the back and stay solid.
"We saw what the front players can do like Wilfried, Yannick and Glenn Murray, so we've got every chance of getting up there and amongst it.
"It was unfortunate that Peter picked up a knock, then Joel Ward came on and he knew his job, so I just shuffled into centre-half and it's nothing unfamiliar for me.
"It was a good feeling, especially as we won after conceding two goals poorly early on and then to come back and win 3-2 against a side like Cardiff.
"It was a bit strange as I saw some of the lads outside of the hotel, but I'm here to do a job and that's we did in the end.
"I think we did deserve to win in the second-half because we didn't start off too well and that gave us a lift because we knew we had to be better and just go for it really."
